screenshot-to-code alternative that starts from a URL
screenshot-to-code is an open-source project on GitHub that turns screenshots, mockups, Figma designs and screen recordings into code. It also has a hosted version at screenshottocode.com. CopyDesign.ai renders the live page, writes a spec from what it measures and leaves the build to the AI coding tool you already use.

You want finished code right away in one of its supported stacks, or you want to run the whole thing on your own machine.

You have a live URL and want measurements from the rendered page across its full length, rather than from one image. Or you'd rather keep building in Claude Code, Cursor or Codex with a spec you can read and edit.
How CopyDesign.ai gets its numbers
For a URL, CopyDesign.ai loads the page in a headless browser, takes eight screenshots from top to bottom and reads the HTML plus up to three stylesheets. Gemini writes the spec in two passes: measurements and sections first, then starter code. A URL run usually takes two to three minutes.
